I’m Natalie, proud member of the Zett-Pfeiffer-Vrabel-Ott-Strasynska clans.
All four grandparents were born in Eastern Europe and immigrated in the late 1800s/early 1900s to Johnstown, PA, Chicago, IL, Cleveland, OH and various towns and villages in Western Wisconsin and Minnesota.
My love of genealogy was sparked by a 38-page family history given to me by my aunt. I knew nothing of this branch of my family tree, and figured that maybe that was because there was nothing to know.
I was wrong.
This family history document rocked my world and showed me that I was not who I thought I was. I also learned that my family is not who I thought they were and the dead and living ones continue fascinating and intriguing me as I work on my family history.
Misc facts: I’m an independent journalist and filmmaker who also works in the IT for various state government agencies.
